We get together regularly to do life together, meeting practical needs biblically. We are mostly singles, but not all, we are mostly 40's, 50's or 60's but not all. We meet with no agendas (find a date, sell a product).  Our goal is to become faithful deciples and help deciple others.  We are not a church, but support the church.

Learning to truly Love one another

     This is not a "Dating Site". It is predominately a Christian Singles Gathering (generally 40's, 50's, 60's, give or take, but all ages are welcome) where we may have couples or singles (son/daughter are welcome at certain gatherings). We plan various events and get together regularly. Our goal is to develop friendships like George Elliot describes "Oh the inexplicable comfort of feeling safe with a person having neither to weigh my thoughts or measure my words but to pour them out, chaff & grain together knowing a faithful friend will sift them, keep what is worth keeping and with a breath of kindness, blow the rest away".

  • The Gathering (a general gathering) generally meets monthly on the last Saturday of the month and is a gathering of Christians (prominently but not exclusively to singles).
  • Singles Gatherings meet from time to time for friendship and fellowship where we learn to love each other, without benefits!
  • Band of Brothers is a men's group that has breakfast, generally on the first Saturday of the month and schedules co-ed events like the shooting range, kayaking etc.
  • Truth Seekers gather regularly to allow Christians to break the conditioning of the prince and power of this world and understand what is really going on with all the chaos and not what we are told is going on by the corrupted media. All are invited to attend Level 1 the "Main Event." where we will view movie clips and have deep discussions. Those that would like to continue will go to Level 2 "Down the Rabbit Hole". This is an even deeper look and discussion of the deception Satan has pulled off, keeping people from seeing the truth. Level 3 we start participating in various practical activities. Knowledge is not power. Application of knowledge is power. What do we do about the truth we discover?

      In all that we do, we gather as the early church did. Usually, if not always, this means sharing some food (breaking bread), fun, laughs, sometimes games and friendly competitions, but always where we can openly and spontaneously break out in praise & song to our Dad who is worthy of our love and adoration. In short, we experience the abundant life! WE DO CHURCH without church. After all, we don't "go to church", we are the church and where two or three gather in His name, He will fellowship and lead us. PS: We have no desire to replace the church you attend, but rather support it.

   WE are a safe place, WE can really be ourselves, learning to be intimate (without the sexual connotations). After all, to be loved and not known is comforting, but superficial. To be known and not loved is our greatest fear, but to be fully known and fully loved is the Treasure of Life.

    This is a place we can put down the masks, be ourselves among safe people without an agenda and be loved. To be fully known and fully loved To Be A FAMILY. It wasn't my idea, it was His.

    The guidelines of this gathering: Developing intimacy in a safe group (where manipulation and drama are not welcomed) where we learn to love one another and have a blast within the Family of God.

We value relationships and Follow Matthew 18. When we have something negative to say, we share it only with someone who is part of the problem (the person themselves alone) or someone who is part of the solution (a neutral objective person, willing to help). NO ONE ELSE. Love hides a multitude of sins. When we have something positive to say, we spread it far and wide.

Definitions: The philosopher Voltaire said "if you converse with me, define your terms. Let's be intentional with our words. LOVE. We fell in love? I love hot dogs? It was love at first sight? We made love? No wonder we are confused. If love is a feeling, how do we love our enemies? If we are to love one another, how do I do that with someone I don't like? There are 3 words that translates love in the new testament. Agape=Love, Philos= (love) but really means like and Aros (Strong desire, lust). This group is about loving (Agape) one another, and how to develope Philos (Like one another).

THE DEFINITIONS.

Love: A Conscious decision, made in the head to always do what is in the best interest of the other person even at my own expense (but not to my injury).

Church: Not a building, not a place. An assembly of called out believers (True born again people, filled with the holy spirit) Assembled to carry out His (Jesus') business. A gathering of Believers. When we assemble in his name, he always attends and leads.

Intimacy: In to me, you see. Transparency. Nathaniel, like a child had no Guile. In other words. Transparent. We speak the truth in love. Say what we mean, mean what we say, but do not say it mean. 

God will judge us by the intent of our heart, not the image we project. What he sees in private, he will reward openly.
